PresetEffects.xml file in AE 2020 not found

Hi there,

I am mac based and I am trying to create a Pseudo Effect in AE and I'd need access to the PresetEffects.xml file...I right clicked on the .app to show all content of the package but it's still missing.

I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas?

A similar issue occurred a few versions ago. I tried searching the forum but didn't find the the thread.

I assume you searched your harddisk for the said file? Please file a bug if you're certain the file is missing.

AE's Help Menu has an item named, Provide Feedback - that sends you online, to a page for you to start writing your Bug Report.

Hi all,

Mystery solved thanks to an awesome quality engineer from Adobe who took the time to respond to my ticket. Here is the path on mac systems, in case others have troubles with the search as I had:

/Contents/Frameworks/aelib.framework/Versions/A/Resources/xml/PresetEffects.xml
