Hello everybody,
I really need your help, please. Although it’s a well discussed problem, I wasn’t able to fix it. After about a minute or so after starting a new project, the preview crashes. When I hit space, the bar only moves a few frames.
I’ve tried (alomost) everything:
I
updated AE,
updated Windows,
updated all drives via driver easy and driver booster.
I tried renaming the folders to .old
I tried it with older AE-Versions.
I used the Adobe Cleaner Tool an reinstalled everything
I disabled the GPU acceleration and set it to Mercury Software only.
Since I work with two BenQ screens I tried using both with the docking station, connecting just one directly to my laptop. And finally just on the laptop.
Same result everytime:
It keeps crashing after a little while and cannot be shut down regularly – only with the task manager.
Here are my settings:
Machine LENOVO - ThinkPad E590
Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
Memory 32 GB
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz
Video Card Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
Monitors BenQ BL2483
Meanwhile I am very desparte. Hopefully anybody has an idea, what is going wrong and how I can fix it.
Thanks a lot!
Peter

Hi Peter,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details.
Could you try disabling the "Cache Frames When Idle" in the Composition > Preview.
Let us know if it helps.
Thanks,
Nishu
