Preview is not Showing

So yesterday I was able to edit perfectly fine without any issues but when I went back into the project today to continue my preview wasn't showing the work.

I'm not sure what could be causing this as I restarted after effects multiple times, restarted my computer and changed the preview window through all the different cameras and qualitys.

If anyone has any idea what could be causing this please let me know as I cannot find a fix.

*Im currently using After Effects (24.1) and use a 2060 RTX Graphics card with 32 GB of ram*

Check the preview options using the first icon to the right of the Resolution options icon at the bottom of the Preview Panel. It looks like you have set the Comp Panel to preview using Wireframes.

that doesn't seem to work unfortunatly. the preview is still grey like the background and I cannot even play the video on the timeline.

Not sure if this would work for everyone but I opened a new project file off of the save that I had from the day before and that worked.
