Preview Is not working on after effects

Hello!! Im trying to preview my edits on after effects and when i press the space bar to press play the playback doesn't play my after effects is constantly unresponsive , i really need help i would like to fix my after effects if anyone can help i would be thankful for it.

Without any info about your system, your hardware acceleration settings, cache settings, preview settings, contents of the project and so on we really can't tell you much. You need to be much more specific.
