He estado presentando este problema en la versión 25.1 en adelante, la versión 25.0.1 e inferior no sucede.
La cuestión es que subí de versión para aprovechar la mejora de la caché de medios, pero es un poco molesto tener ese desfase en la previsualización.

Thanks for writing in, xjuanfx.
Do you mind letting us know more about the issue? Does the preview stop on its own, or does it lag while scrubbing? Have you tried clearing the media cache (Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk Cache)?
Let me know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Even so, after deleting all the Caché, it still happens.

You also check the version of the graphic card driver. Did you try to get the latest one?

Is it happening with any other project? In which version this project was created? Can you try importing this project into a new project instead of opening it?
Let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Nishu

It happens with any project, also if I just import a video and try to preview it, the same bug happens.

Please try the following: Go to After Effects Preferences > Display > disable Hardware Accelerated Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels. If that doesn't help, go to File > Project Settings > and switch the renderer in the drop down.
Let me know the outcome.
Thanks,

It keeps happening, I still think it's a bug in After Effects, because, as I said before, in version 25.0.1 it doesn't happen, only since version 25.1 and higher.

Please allow me some time to do some research. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can use 25.0.1 as a workaround.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks,
Nishu

It also seems that the adaptive resolution does not work, as it does not reduce the quality of the preview, but previews it at normal quality
