Hi everyone:
I'm creating my very first After Effects project and I'm having great dificulty. The video is of a plane landing. I'm trying to put an overlay of the Speed, Altitude and Direction. I purchased the Telemetry template from here earlier today. I'm somewhat comfortable with the AE side of things, but I can't seem to get my GPX file to convert to MG JSON. Whenever I try to convert it, it errors out.
I have attached links to my google drive with two different versions of the flight log. Adobe won't allow me to attach a GPX file to this post. One is the original, as it was downloaded from FlightRadar24 (a citizen's flight tracker) and the second one is only the landing part of the GPX file. I manually removed the data from before where the video started. I watched when the plane toucked down as Altitude Zero and went back the length of the video to get the files in sync.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, but you've written a lot, but basically told us nothing, most importantly not explained what "errors out" is supposed to mean. Just posting the links to the original GPX files is not realyl that useful, as most people not familiar with this stuff won't even look at it without a good reason to do so. You have to be more specific about what actually doesn't work.

That's my issue - The only message it gives me is "Problem Converting File" and absolutely nothing else. There isn't an error code or any other info to tell me what the problem is.

Have you contacted the people at GoPro and/or scoured their forums? I'm not familiar with GPX files, but looking at your examples it seems they would be easily enough to process in a slightly advanced text editor like BBEdit or Textpad or web design frontend with simple search & replace. Have you tried that?

I took a quick look at the website. If you are having problems with their tool, that is where to go for help. It could be user error, AE version incompatibility, or a bug in their product. It looks like a fairly useful tool, but it would be even better for longer shots if you could use it in Premiere Pro. I don't think downloading the GPX file will do any good without their tools.

Thankfully they were able to help me. I saw another thread on here (Adobe Forums) that talked about this site in some depth and lead me to believe that it was more closely related to Adobe and AfterEffects than it was. Sorry about posting this in the wrong place.
