Hello Adobe, the attached photos shows my project file in AdobeAE. The exact scene is a website animation comp. When rendering, the scene appears to be a blank black screen. How do I overcome this?

The second screenshot shows what appears during and after rendering.Scene from composition project fileScene from composition project fileFinal renderFinal render

Without any info on exact render settings and so on we can't realyl give you a definitive answer. The usaul steps apply: Start by checking hardware acceleration settings and cache options for the rendering. Also, if it's run through AME, naturally the first thing to check would be to render it natively from AE as an image sequence to preclude any issues on that front.

Hello Mylenium. Thank you so much for reaching back. I rendered on AE and the settings left at default...you know Lossless...Quicktime and Best settings. I'm clearing cache then render again. Let's see.

I just realized after creating a new comp and copy pasting the layers on this new com and playing around with my layer settings that its because the actual layer is 3D. If I turn off 3D on the layer it's perfectly visible.

Another interesting thing to note is that when I copied the layers on this new composition, the affected layer that goes black when rendering now turns up black within the composition.

Someone please assist.

I figured out that the light layer was what was causing the problem.
I turned off the light layer and rendered which worked perfectly fine. The window that was going dark could now be seen.

Many thanks.
