Hello,

I changed Format to Quicktime, Channels to RGB + Alpha and I still have a black background. Does anyone know a workaround?

No standard media players support transparency. You have to import your rendered file to Premiere Pro or After Effects and see if the transparency shows up there. If it does, you are OK. If it does not, then you fouled up the render settings. If you are not an expert in video formats and compression, it is always best to choose the High Quality with Alpha preset from the Output Module menu.

Thank you for the response Rick. I have maybe 100 hours of editing across the board so any advice helps a ton! Please correct me if I'm wrong, what you're saying is to render the composition in AE and render it again to try and remove the background.

Add your composition to the render queue and then choose the High Quality with Alpha preset from the Output Module by clicking the button.
