Hi,
Is there a way to replace an image sequence in duplicate comp without changing it in the original comp?
I have a comp with a image seqeunce setup which is used in a certain structure/setup. I would like make a duplicate to maintain this structure/setup but replace the image sequence for another sequence.
When I replace the sequence now in the duplicate comp, it also replaces in the org comp.
Duplicate the original comp and, if needed, pre-comps. Make sure you properly rename the duplicate comps. Load the duplicate comp that contains the image sequence you want to replace. Import the new image sequence into the Project panel. Select the image sequence in the duplicate comp, select the new image sequence in the Project Panel, then hold down the Alt/Option key and drag the new image sequence from the Project Panel to the duplicate comp's timeline. Import the new image sequence into the Project panel. Select the image sequence in the duplicate comp, select the new image sequence in the Project Panel, then hold down the Alt/Option key and drag the new image sequence from the Project Panel to the duplicate comp's timeline. Holding down the Alt/Option key will cause AE to replace the original layer (sequence) with the new one.
The Alt/Option + Drag from the Project Panel to a timeline with a selected layer will replace any selected layer with the asset in the Project Panel.
