Hi,

Forgive my ignorance, I am new to AE. I've somehow destroyed the default workspace for "text" and have no idea how to get it back to the default. I do not see a reset to default function. I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it, but it still has the messed up workspace.

thank you,

Dana

You can try and delete the actual workspace XML files in your user/dana/Adobe and so on folder and AE will restore the default ones from its backup. Off hand I'm not sure, though, if this covers the sub-workspaces as well as not all of them have such backup versions. In case of doubt you can also reinstall the app after having deleted the botched workspaces.

Thank you for your response, Mylenium!

This is what worked, I went to:

/Users/user/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/22.2/ModifiedWorkspaces

and deleted all of the workspaces.

Yay!

Thank you for this suggestion as that was super easy!

Cheers,
Dana
