RG Supercomp and Ae - Gamma/Color space - How does it work?

Hi everyone,

I'm compositing a PNG sequence onto live action footage. The live action footage was exported in Prores444 from PrPro and was originally in BRAW. I have after effects set to linear workflow at 32Bit and the working color space is set to sRGB. The PNG sequence was exported in filmic log color profile (blender) and the sequencer was set to Linear.

I set the layers in supercomp but I don't really know what gamma profile to set to each layer. I've noticed that if I set the PNG sequence to Video, I get more information and it becomes flatter, looking more like the ProRes444 live action clip while if I set it to "Log", it becomes dark and more saturated which is not what I would expect. I set the live action footage layer to BMD4.5k (I shot it on a bmpcc6k). I initially had a very very good result but the color was off once I imported it back into Premiere Pro (where I have an adjustment lumetri color adjustment layer for this scene) so I started playing around again with Supercomp gamma profiles and now the colors are very close but some highlights are blown out which tells me I lost dynamic range. I also noticed that the image in Supercomp looks a lot different from the image I get in Ae's composition monitor which makes me think they are managing colors differently. My end goal is to export an XML and color grade in Da Vinci Resolve. I understand that color management is very complicated and everyone has different workflows. This is the last shot of my personal project (That is why I haven't hired anyone as it's on zero budget) and I just want to get it done.
