Hello, I'd like to make a still image to be a picture scroll, then roll it out, just like rolling out a painting. Could some expert here tell me how to do that? Thank you.

Trey to apply CC page turn effects on your image, and play with the settings to get what you want

There are 3rd party effects that will allow you to unroll a cylinder.

If you stick with the stock effects, you will need to use CC Cylinder to wrap a scale reversed (mirror image) copy of the original image, then animate rotation and position. As the cylinder moves across the screen, you would use a track matte to hide the seam that will appear.

Below that, you have the original image. Apply a Linear Wipe to that layer to reveal the flat image as the cylinder moves across the screen.

This will only be a simulated 3D effect. If you want a real 3D effect, you will need 3rd party plugins or software. You could do the easily in Blender. It's an open-source 3D app that integrates fairly well with After Effects. HTTP://blender.org.
