I'm having the same issue as a previous poster where the first frame the rotobrush is trash while the rest are great, this is especially problematic if you tweak settings like feather/reduce chatter, it makes the first frame feel like a jarring jump cut mistake. How do I resolve this?
There are no additional keyframes meaning nothing is warping due to keyframing.

HI Yash,
Thanks for writing in. Have you tried clearing the media cache as suggested in the thread you mentioned? What version of After Effects are you using? Are you working with Roto Brush 2.0 or 3.0?
Let me know.
Thanks,
Nishu

I have tried clearing cache but it just gets recreated the same way, using the latest AE with Rotobrush 3

Is it happening with a specific media? If yes, can you share that media file with me for testing? If it happens with multiple media files, can you share the details (frame rate, frame size, format/codec)? Also, which device was used to record that footage? Lastly, what are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Nishu

It's happening with a clip supplied to me by the client, unable to share the clip itself:
SPECS
Intel Core i9-14900HX
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
64GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD

Thanks for getting back. Can you try transcoding the footage and using the Roto Brush again on the transcoded media in a new project? You can use Media Encoder to transcode the media.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

Sure please can you elaborate and explain how to transcode?

My bad! Transcoding is nothing but re-exporting the media. Import your media into Media Encoder and export with your desired settings. I'd suggest exporting it in ProRes because it is easier to handle. Here's a video that should help: https://adobe.ly/3U7rGVd
Let me know.
Thanks,
Nishu
