Saving file after Open Recent

Would be nice when I open a recent file that when I go to save it the folder from where it sits is opened, instead of the last folder I was working in. For example, I just finish a project for Client A, save it and then Open Recent file for Client B. Any work done and I click save, it saves that file in the Client A folder, not Client B.

Still - two years later - and nothing!!

When I open a file through RECENT and then save, it does not save into that folder - but into the last folder used. If I open the AE project from the OPEN it does. Why have you not fixed this???????????? What's the point of shortcuts like RECENT when it adds more work??

When you open the file from the Recent files and press Ctrl/Command + S, do you get the option to choose a file location or is your file saved to a different (last used) location without any notification? Do you mind sharing a screen recording of the behavior so that we can understand the issue better?

Crtl S save the file... but in the last folder I used in AE, not the folder the Open Recent picked up the file from. So Open Recent does not recall the folder it selects from. Crtl+shift S opens the save to window and you can see right there that it's the wrong folder.

That's not ideal. I haven't been able to replicate the issue at my end.

Do you mind sharing a screen recording that shows the issue? That'll help us to investigate further.
