Hello! I tried getting help on Reddit but recieved nothing but 1 unhelpful response. I am trying to create a shadow for a 3d model in my comp, but the shadow catcher appears as a black square. Another Adobe Community post had the same issue in 2017, and apperently Cinema 4D renderer does not support shadow catchers. But I am not using C4D, I am using the advanced renderer. Does it not support shadow catchers either? That would be weird. The setting for "Accepts Shadows" is shown as "Only - Disabled" which is what the C4D guy had too. I have a sneaking suspicion that my fears are true.
If they are, will shadow catchers in the advanced renderer be supported soon?
Thanks!

Open the 3D Renderer tab of Composition Settings (Ctrl/Cmnd + K) and look at the limitations of the Advanced, C4D, and Classic rendering engines. The Classic 3D is the only one without exceptions.

Can you install the latest beta version of After Effects and see if the issue persists?
Let us know. I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.
Thanks,
