Something happened and now I can’t select any windows in After Effects

I click on a window, for example a window with a video preview, it is highlighted for 0.1 second, and the selection is immediately removed. This makes the program difficult to use. For example, text cannot be entered. What can I do? I've already reset the preferences.

By "windows" I mean panels. When I click "Undock panel" the panels become separate windows and highlight without issue
