stroke path not following pill shape path

The stroke pill shape path animation is not following the path as the pill path. Maybe  its because of the curves it has and I want the end to be animated as well.

You are going to need to provide some more detail.

What type of animation are you trying to create? Were you just trying to animate the stroke of the pill shape so it appears?

What effects are you using? 

It looks like you are animating the Path shape as well as using some effect (maybe Trim Path) to animate the stroke. It also looks like it may be an open instead of a closed path.

More detail and screen shots (of the shape layer, effects, animation, etc) would be helpful for troubleshooting.

The example video looks like a shape layer with the trim path effect added.

The extra movement looks like it is done with the Trim Path's offset property.

No, I simply set key frames for the end path movement moving from one side to another but when I did the same for this new one, it glitches and not moving in the pill shape path as the previous one.

The glitchiness in your path shape is because of the keyframes you added to the path shape itself.

The reference image is what looks like it animated Trim path and offset.
