Support GPUs

Before I used a design software and supported GPU reommended by them. In the software there was button called real view, if you use a supported GPU that button would glow otherwise not.

Is there anything in the Ae app that you can confirm that you are using a supported GPU?

After Effects supports a bunch of GPUs, but here are the system requirements: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/system-requirements.html

If you don't have a supported piece of hardware you should get a message when the app starts up. Now, how much After Effects will use your GPU is a very different story, and is a more complex discussion, but just so you know, simply having a good GPU doesn't mean that everything in AE will render in real-time or very quickly.

I use Dell computer. Following GPU was recommended by Dell for Premiere Pro but name is not in the list.

AMD cards are supported, and while your GPU is older and not as powerful as more modern GPUs, it should be utilized. After Effects is an app that uses the CPU far more heavily than the GPU, but if you apply a GPU-accelerated effect these can be seen with a special icon in the Effects & Presets panel (the attached image shows Premiere Pro, but the icon is the same in After Effects) and not get an error, then your GPU is being used.

I agree with, davidarbor. The other way to find if the GPU is being detected by After Effects is to go to Edit > Preferences > Preview and click the "GPU Information". If that shows the details of the GPU, After Effects knows that there is one.
