system crashes and black screens when rendering

I experienced this problem a few months ago when I would render a project through either ae or ame and it would randomly cause my system to stop displaying anything whilst still showing signs that it was powered (case fans on).

my specs were:

5500 XT

Ryzen 9 5900x

16 gb 3200Mhz corsair lpx ram

crucial p2 500gb m.2

evga 500 br

For a few months I randomly stopped getting this issue however it has come back when trying to render a different project file. What's weird is that I have formatted my disk, reinstalled after effects and updated, changed my power supply to a NZXT c750 and my gpu to a 3070 Ti FE.

Would appreciate any help so that I can finally solve this/ identify a cause.

Hi Hishaam23672507reco,

Sorry for your issue.

Do you see any error messages from After Effects or Windows? Did you use any third-party plug-ins in the project that creates the issue? Also, are you using the Studio driver or the Game Ready driver for your GPU?

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi, I don't see any error message from windows or ae however in the past  have seen 'Livekernelevent 1a8' as an error message. I'm using the game ready drivers as I primarily use the system for gaming.

What I would recommend to check is the physical memory test on your PC.
