Time Remapping

When I first installled after effects and tried remapping with the graph editor all my keyframes were fine and ended up looking like this 

I could freely adjust the picks and handles but now my graph ends up looking like this when I try to remap 

I can only adjust the picks horizontally and vertically and never diagonally.

One is a speed graph, the other is a value craft. You just need to change the options.
