I don’t know how other people work with this interface, but I don’t get it. This tool zoom is completely out of control. Could you improve this interface?

That's a tiny little control area. When you have a composition as huge as yours (15 minutes is quite long for an AE composition), a small adjustment down there is going to cause a major jump in the time scale as you're seeing. It is working just fine.

The problem is, that's not the zoom control you should be using.

That little area at the bottom of the panel that you're using is not for fine control. You can zoom with much more finesse using the controls on TOP of the timeline panel. If you look

I don't wanna to sound snarky but before you start asking developers to change how tool that you are using to change something it is better to learn basics of that software and how it works.
AE is a software for shorter forms and 15-16 minutes is just length that is really long as a one sequence so zoom tool have large zoom steps than if you for exampe used it in 10-15 seconds sequence.
And to be honnest really not to many people uses that zoom slider - most of us uses:
+ and - on your keyboard  or Alt and scrool on your mouse

Thank you. All people have their own methods of use. If this tool is there, then why should it not be used?
If it works poorly, then it would be better to use it. I want to help improve the interface, so I left this message.

It's not an ineffective tool. It's ineffective for the way you're trying to use it. A screwdriver is terrible for putting nails into boards, but it doesn't mean the screwdriver is a useless tool - it's very useful for tightening screws! You should use the right tool for the right job.

That little control down there is very handy for making large changes to the time scale (as you're accidentally doing). So use it when you want to make big jumps. Use the other one when you want to finesse stuff.

I didn’t know earlier that I needed to create only small animations for 10-15 seconds in the program. Thanks for the advice. I really need to replenish knowledge. I attended courses, but nobody ever talked about it.

It is not like you can't make longer compositions - you can, but AE is more suitable for shorter single compositions and for sure that slider that you were talking about is not the best tool for precise timeline zooming.

If you look right above the numbers across the top length of the timeline panel, you'll see a blue bar that shrinks and grows as you change the zoom level. Grabbing one of the ends of that and adjusting it gives you MUCH better control than that little guy at the bottom. I either use that blue control or + and - on the keyboard.

Also, as a side note, you've spelled "Adventure" incorrectly in your comp.
