Hello,
I am trying to create a graphics template in After Effects, if possible with Essential Graphics that I can later use in Premiere Pro. I would like the graphics insert to have an opaque background that will blur the video footage on which it is placed.
For my tests in After effects I used an adustment layer with gaussian blur as the lowest layer of my animation and beneath that the test video/photo. As long as everything stays in the same comp it works perfectly, however when I put my graphics animation into a sub-comp, the blur effect disapears. Of course that's also the case for when I import the project into Premiere Pro.
Is there some way to keep the effects of an adjustment layer active, even when the layer is not in the same comp as the footage below or even not in the same program?
Any info on that issue would be great!
Thanks!

Right now you can not use adjustment layers in mogrt templates for Premiere Pro. I've seen a lot of demand for this feature in Premiere forums as it would be very useful.
As an alternative, you can add media to a template with the effect applied and replace the media in Premiere Pro. Check this link that has valuable information about this feature. https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/premiere-pro/using/replace-images-videos-motion-graphics.html

Thank you for the fast reply!
I already assumed that there is noch direct way to transfer adjustment layers from AE to Pr.
But the alternative with MOGRT and replace Media sounds promising. I will check it out.
