Hello,

I'm trying to animate the last word in a sentence. I've figured out how to isolate the word using a range selector. When I add a rotation property, it rotates along the z-axis. I would like it to rotate along the y-axis but haven't figured out how to do so. I've already turned on the 3D layer for the text layer. I've included a video to show what I'm talking about. Hopefully I'm making sense!

It's kind of hard to see but there is an option to enable PerCharacter 3D. Turn that on and you will be able to do what you want to do.

If you can't find it type Per Character 3D in the Search Help field in the top right corner of After Effects and it will take you to the appropriate section of the User Guide.
