Video and audio tracks on Adobe After effect don't work properly.

My video and audio tracks on Adobe After effect don't work properly. Every time I select a track nothing happens, then I have to click on the top of the track for my selection to appear. And I have to do this every time. I've contacted customer service a dozen times and every time I explain my situation, they leave the conversation without giving any explanation.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with source footage items in your After Effects project.

It will be helpful to know the following:

• Which operating system are you running?  For example, Windows 10 Home, Windows 11 Pro, macOS Catalina 10.15, macOS Ventura 13.6.4, etc.
• Which version of After Effects?  For example, 22.6.5, 23.6.2, 24.1, etc.?
• What are the file types of your source footage items?  For example, H264 MP4, Go Pro Cineform QuickTime Movie, HVEC H265, Avid DNx Op1a MXR, etc. for video and MP3, AIF, WAV, etc. for audio.
• If you happen to be running Windows, it will be helpful to know if you're running the Studio Driver or Graphics Driver and which version of that.
