I have been having this issue (which has been going on for years now) where my Wacom tablet/pen stops working when I use AE. The issue does not happen right away, sometimes it happens within minutes after I launch and use AE and sometimes it may take up to hours. What happens is the mouse/cursor does not move when I am hovering over the tablet. The only way for it to move is when the pen is putting pressure on the tablet and I drag, in which case also makes it click AND drag at the same time. This ONLY happens with After Effects and it's ONLY the Wacom that stops working, when I switch to a mouse it works fine. The only way to fix this issue is to restart the computer which is only a temporary fix.
Please help! Wacom and Adobe "specialists" were not able to resolve this issue for me.

If yes, you can try the workarounds mentioned in the discussion.

It sometimes works better if you use one older version of Wacom driver.

Thanks @ToolfarmJP, I tried downloading previous/older Wacome drivers but it didn't seem to help.
