I continue to have issues sucessfully completing Warp Stabilizer analysis with my projects. Sind AE does not crash or freeze, I have enable logging to see if that helps with troubleshooting this ongoing and very frustrating issue. I a have had issues with this with both Intel and Silicon Macs. Screen recording shows that I using latest versions of OS X and AE with a Mac Mini M2 Pro.
Thanks for the log files. It looks like AE is running out of memory in such a way that it can't recover to complete the stabilization.
It looks like from the logs you're using a TIFF sequence. Are you able to convert that to a combined video file (say in Prores) and try to process that?
Can you split up the sequence and do smaller sections of the stabilization instead of trying to do it in one larger amount?
Or if you can look at updating to 24.0.2, the memory changes may help with the c

Thanks for looking at the log files. I usually just use jpg 8 bit images and run into the same problem as I did with this 16 bit tiff example. I've been trying to use the 32 bit color management in my project settings for HDR.
Its interesting about the memory because I always have activity monitor open and I don't notice any memory pressure during the analysis phase. But I know Apple Silicon does use the 32GB I have differently than my intel systems so that could be the issue. It diffidently is more successful with HD compositions vs the full sized 5K jpg or tiff sequences.
So, I could pre render the sequence first and then try the warp stabilizer, I will try that.
is the 24.0.2 only available as a beta? I should be getting automatic updates unless I've accidentally had two AE versions installed and the one I have in my dock is not the newest version (that has happened before).

24.0.2 should be available for all customers now (as of last Tuesday).

Sure enough, I had two versions of AE installed and I was loading the older version from my application dock on my Mac as that doesn't get updated.
warp stabilizer has worked without freezing on two different jpg sequences now. Thanks!
