Hi, this is a new thing. I'm running AFX 17.0.2
iMac 27" late 2013, 3.2GHz Core i5, 24 GB 1600 Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1GB
Also running a Cintiq Pro 24
So when I try to play back my timeline (or RAM preview) I have a phantom window appearing with the playback, always to the bottom right of my actual viewport. Often entirely cut off. I have to zoom out and position my viewport all the way to the top-left so I can see my animation playing back.
This JUST started happening so it's definitely something to do with the latest update. I never had it before and my hardware haven't changed recently.
I made a quick screen recording to illustrate this (I'm just hitting spacebar there but it does the same for RAM preview):

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. A similar issue was reported in the After Effects version 17.0.0 but it was fixed in the next release (17.0.1). Did it work correctly before the latest update (17.0.2)? Try reinstalling After Effects and check if it makes any difference.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

No it was working fine before.
Not really ideal to re-install in the middle of this job but if there's no other option I guess I'll have to try that 😞

Sorry for the inconvenience. Did reinstalling After Effects help? If not, try installing the latest update of After Effects (17.0.4).
Let us know if it helps.
Thanks,
Nishu
