Hi all,

Could Adobe please make its official position on immersive media support known?

The online help for After Effects claims;

“The Adobe Immersive Environment in After Effects allows you to preview how your 360 and 180 degree footage looks like in a VR head-mount display (HMD).”

https://helpx.adobe.com/au/after-effects/using/immersive-video-VR.html

Yet, there is enormous confusion in the community about why the current version of After Effects lacks the previously featured VR functionality. Is this a bug or a deliberate omission from the software roadmap?

Why has the critical feature been removed from After Effects while Premiere Pro demonstrates it is not only possible but nearly essential for this kind of work?

Users are generating more 360/VR content through more accessible cameras, game engines, virtual productions and emerging media. I assume Adobe wants to lead in this space.

Customers require certainty, so if someone can please provide a clear response on if/when viewing immersive media will be restored in AE, that would be most appreciated.
