What monitor would be best for long hours working?

Apr 25, 2022 Apr 25, 2022

What monitor would you recommend to someone who works primarily in After Effects and Premiere Pro for quite long hours?

Currently I'm working with HP x27q, 27 inch 2K monitor, and the UI is just too small for me. The Windows UI scaling works really bad causing some bugs and glitches, especially when working with the Premiere Pro timeline.

Thank you.

The UI is too small for you because you are using a 2K monitor. You can set your display resolution to 1920x1080 to get smaller scaling. The downsampling can be a bit bad though.

If your in the market for 144hz (I assume you won't want to downgrade to a 60 or 120hz) and 1080p, then you have a lot of options.

This one is the one I would recommend:

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG279Q-Monitor-FreeSync-Adaptive/dp/B074JLD4HZ?th=1

1080p 144hz, with an IPS panel (way better than TN or VA for color stuff) and ASUS is known to be reliable with monitors.

If you're looking for a slightly cheaper option, this one is mine that I've used for over 2 years now (not THAT long) and it works just as good as when I first got it. That one is here:

https://amzn.to/3kb6njv (not IPS, but still really good.)

You really have a lot of options. And unless you're really picky, it isn't hard to find a monitor that suits you for a reasonable price.
