The issue that I have is very complicated. I have really intense sequence in AE and I want to disable my background layer in order to render my 3D graphics on a transparent background. The issue is that when I try to disable/delete my background layer, my whole animation and sequence goes black. I've been trying to resolve the problem for hours but nothing seems to work. Please help ASAP

The bottom two layers are guide layers so they will not render. They will preview, but won't render.

You are only showing the Modes and Parent/Link column so I can't see which layers are 3D or which of the nested comps (pre-comps) are 3D or have collapse transformations turned on. Check that column (click both column switches in the bottom left corner of the timeline panel), and make sure things are setup correctly there.

I also don't see a comp camera, so I don't know which layers are 3D or what rendering engine you are using. We need a little more info. Open things up, check the modified properties of the problem layers by pressing 'uu' and then drag the screenshot to the reply field on the forum so we don't have to download it to see what's going on.
