When I drag Footage to any Comp, it freezes the program and doesn't respond.
My AE has been acting up and I've already tried a variety of basic troubleshooting procedures. Force quit, restarted the computer (several times), cleared cache, even uninstalled the app. I still can't even drag footage into a composition. Anyone know how I can get my program back to normal?

After trying a few different things, I'm thinking it might just be the footage itself that's acting weird. Cause other mp4's have no problem entering Comps. I did reset my preferences before figuring this out, so that may have helped. Not sure.
I agree! It could be the particular footage that causing the issue. In such cases, transcoding the footage before importing in After Effects usually helps.
