why my track matte doesn't work in shape layer

I was trying the building split effect and  to create a 3D look. I created a mask underneath using a shape layer and wanted it to follow using track matte, but it's not following even when I use track matte. How can I fix this?

The (part 1) layer you use as a track matte is still visible. Turn off layer visibility if you don't want to see that layer.
