Currently when viewing any aspect ratio in after effect (or premiere) that isn't 16x9, it will stretch or squish the image when outputting with a blackmagic monitor. This makes editing social media formats or anything that isn't 16x9 extremely difficult to view on a reference monitor.
All other software i use the blackmagic monitor with is able to do it. Flame, Nuke, Resolve.
This is very much needed to have color acturate monitoring while editing all the various formats and sizes we create these days.
