Duplicate with Incremented File Name

In the render queue I can select 'Duplicate with File Name' on an existing render queue item.
What I would really like to see is an extra option to increment the file name during duplication.
I tried to make a script for this but it seems impossible the retrieve an array of selected items in the render queue...
Would be great if the option to 'Duplicate with Incremented File Name' (or 'Increment and Duplicate'?) is added, including a shortcut.
Otherwise, maybe add an option to retrieve an array of selected items in the render queue in scripting? Then I can just script a button myself.
