You really should be able to copy multiple markers from a layer and paste them onto a comp in AE

Layer markers... I do a lot of timing and editing for projects in Premiere (usings markers)... but in AE when you have multiple layers, it's much more useful to have your markers on the comp itself as opposed to a specific layer etc
