No way of controllong masks using numerical values

I come from older versions of Hitfilm Express, I started using After Effects recently and just realized this software doesn't have a way of changing scale, position, rotation of masks using numerical values. Please add this feature, I used to always use the parameters and it's so much more precise to use! I don't understand why we should be limited to moving and scaling the mask by hand.

You can use shape objects (layers) and use them as masks. Would that solve the limitation issue?
