Timeline is too slow.

I am using AfterEffects on Windows 11 and the timeline is too slow.
When I hold down the mouse wheel to see the entire timeline, or when I move keyframes to different times, I only get about 4 fps, which is making me uncomfortable.
Why doesn't Adobe improve this?

If you are able to download and try out the current AE Beta, you may find much improved performance in the UI.

Yes, as Jenkmeister suggests, please try the AE Beta available in the Apps > Beta Apps section of the Creative Cloud application. We are currently testing improvements to UI performance on windows that should make moving keyframes much faster. We would love to hear how that works for you.
