Hi!

I am having an issue with the Effect CC Particle System being cut off at the Borders of the object I want it to apply to. I know, that I can use CC Particle Systems to solve that Issue, which works great, when working with Text - as soon, as I try the exact same thing on a png, I does not work. I have included tone screenshots visualizing the problem - thanks in advance!

To maintain that workflow swap Grow Bounds for CC Composite or Pre-compose before applying the particle effect.

Nothing wrong here. You simply have a misunderstanding. Dynamically rasterized items like text have an invisible comp-sized "canvas"/ container whereas for genuinely pixel-based layers only "true" pixels are considered. This has never worked any differently. The simple answer therefore is to pre-compose your image and apply the effects in the parent comp to the layer.
