Adobe After Effects cuts off audio

Hey!

I'm trying to make a simple karaoke video with that flowing color throught text. The song I chose is about 3 minutes long, but on my timeline it keeps cutting it down to about 30 seconds. Does anybody know why? I'm still very new to this program, so please explain simply.

make sure your composition's length is as long as the song. Your current composition could be 30 seconds and that's why it's cutting off that much.

To change your comp settings, press Cmd+K (Mac) or CTRL+K (WIN) and next to duration, make sure it is set to 0:03:00:00 (for 3 minutes).
