Hi, I keep getting the "  " error on Mac (s/ware all up to date).

I've uninstalled AE, run the cleaner tool, and reinstalled. Still persists.

AE2019 works fine though.

Any ideas?

Hi Nick,

Sorry for the issue. I see that you are not able to open After Effects.

Please try the following steps:

  • Press & hold the Option key. From the Finder menu bar, choose Go > Library > Preferences > Adobe > After Effects  and rename your After Effects version folder as your After Effects version.old (e.g. if you are using After Effects 2019, your After Effects version is 16.x.x).
  • Go to Documents > Adobe and rename your After Effects version folder as your After Effects version.old.

Let us know if it brings any change.

Thanks,

Nishu
