AE Warning

when i try to change format (option) prior to rendering from render cue,   i get this warning "...: error parsing properties list from file "users/MyName/documents/adobe/adobe media encoder/13.0/ameprefsxml"

ive tried on AE 2019 and 2020. Any ideas?
