After Effects 17 latest is unusable

Hi

I perhaps rather nievely have CC set to auto update and AE has been updated.

Before update - joy to use

After update - nearly unusable.

Specifically: The space bar. Simple compositions seems to not load to buffer and even if it does hitting space does nothing and if you hit space a couple of times AE loses focus and for instance my currently playing music pauses because AE lost focus.

Can I revert to previous versions.

Can Adobe not just leave things alone? We get it, stuff like this costs 100s a month, you dont have to proove worth with pointless little tweeks that breaks things.

Is it happening with all the projects? Have you tested it in a new project?

Here's what you can try:

1. Remove the cache (Edit > Purge > All Media & Disk Cache).
