After Effects Lagging preview

For the past few weeks After Effects 2020 has been completely useless. For all of my new projects the preview lags terribly. The sound is in low pitch and slow motion, while the video is playing at about 4 fps. When I open older projects I do not have this problem. There seems to be something wrong with any new projects I make, but I am unaware of what that problem is. My After Effects is completely updated and I have tried to reinstall the program completely.
