Here's the error message after the project opens 98%
After Effects Warning: Could not create an essential graphics parameter because it refers to an non-existent layer
Clicking ok only brings up the same dialogue box.
This is after spending 10 hours working on it yesterday. I did delete a text layer before saving, but it was working just fine yesterday.

Hi Hamza0101,
Sorry for your issue.
Are you getting the exactly same error message? Try importing your project into a new project.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

It's happening to me too. The weird part is that premier let you open the compositions, and media encoder too. But if you try to import the file into another after effects it open that pop up again. All ready try everything, think that the file is corrupted. You can save somethings by exporting the comps in media encoder but you will not be able to edit anything.

Okay after 3 hours of trying to get back the file I finally did it. Here you go:
1. Force close after effects
2. Open a new PREMIER FILE
3. Import the after effect as an asset
4. Right click on the asset -> modify -> interpret footage
5. After that right click on the asset and select edit original
6. When after effects open is going to show the error but now lets you hit esc and is going to let you open the file.
Suggest to you to save it again as a new file and export all of the compositions
