hi all
Can anyone suggest how I might speed up After Effects booting ? From clicking the icon to actually being able to do anything takes my laptop 13 minutes now. The laptop is quite old these days, but always served me well with AE and this boot time has been progressively getting longer and longer. I confess it could do with a clear out, but will this sort the issue?
My system is:

AE may be trying to create space for its cache. Try releasing more drive space and set AE's cache to about 50GB. However, ensure you have about another 50 GB for your media which includes pre-renders and final renders. You may also have little contiguous disk space - a disk cleanup should help.

Hi Roland
thanks for getting back to me, having some specific figures is really useful.
House keeping is now top of the agenda! : )
cheers
