I have just started my After Effects CC 7 day trial , but it wont open.
I have been looking around for a solution but none of them worked.
I have tried :
-Disabling Windows Defender
-Running It As Administrator
-Reinstalling After Effect
-Reinstalling Creative Cloud
but it still didnt work.
Here is a picture , when i launch it , it wont open , but it always shows up in Task Manager , it always uses 28mb of ram for some reason and nothing else.
There is not error popup or anything in the Event Viewer that is related to After Effect.
If needed , here are my PC Specs :
CPU : Athlon x4 880k
RAM : 8Gb 1600mhz
GPU : R7 240 , OC to 980mhz Core , 1040mhz Memory
Storage : 1Tb HDD (Main) , 1.5Tb HDD (Primary For Storage)
Thank you.
After Effects is launching as a background process which leads me to believe something is seriously wrong.

What version of Windows are you using? And prior to starting AE, have you tried to End Task AE in the Task Manager before launching AE?

brpilgrim I contacted support and they connected to my PC , they tried a lot of things but nothing worked.
They enabled Administrator account trough Command Prompt , sorry , i forgot what the command was.
When i switched to that account everything worked so the problem was with my user account.
So the solution is :
Backup your Documents folder and everything important in you user folder.
Create a new user ...... that is it
Edit : The 2 persons that were helping me were really nice and i haven't seen any company/corporation that has that good customer support (for now)

On a company computer so that sounds like more work than I can deal with. Thank you so much for the feedback. I just continue to quit from task manager.

Glad you got it worked out. I've also had support connect to my computer in the past to fix a serious issue and they were great. Although it's a very weird feeling to watch your mouse cursor moving around and doing things. It actually made me feel a little nauseous.

i found another easy fix.
the creative cloud logged me out of my account automatically somehow which i didn't knew. so when i started AE it just showed up in task manager and disappeared within few seconds. after many attempts i launched the creative cloud app to update AE and noticed that i was logged out so i logged in and tried to launch AE and it worked like charm.
this fixed my problem hope would work for you too.

In my case, removing the plugins folder in programs/adobe/common did the trick. I think Mr.Horse plugin specifically is causing the issue. It's happened more than once.
