Without any system information we can't really tell you anything. For all intents and purposes "Unknown" means what it says and without a bit of context even we can't guess.

Hi there,

Sorry for the crash issue with After Effects. As Mylenium mentioned, we'd need more information to troubleshoot this issue properly.

  1. What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)?
  2. Were you able to launch After Effects before? Have you made any changes to your system recently like install a new program or a font?
  3. What's the exact version of After Effects: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-find-the-exact-version-of-after-effects-you-...

Try validating and removing the faulty fonts using Font Book: https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/font-book/fntbk1000/mac

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
