After replacing a file the "Export to Media Encoder" got disabled

I have created an After Effects template, I was going to replace only one file and then render. A problem occurred: after replacing the file (correctly, since the new file is displayed into the composition display), the option "Export to Media Encoder" got disabled and the only way to get it working again is to Save the file, close After Effects and then open it again. Now the option "Export to Media Encoder" will be avaible again.

Without any actual info about your system and your project nobody can tell you much. indeed AE should not have issues to produce a temporary project for AME even without saving the source project, but we honestly can't know why. Perhaps you're simply running out of disk space on your caches and temp folders...
