Audio spectrum not showing audio

So, I have messed with all the settings and have set the audio spectrum to display the mp3 but it shows nothing, any help?

You have not offered any specific details about effect settings, the specs of the audio, your system and so on. Just saying that it doesn't work is not of any use to anyone.

Did you tried with a .wav? The .mp3 is a file that usually gives headaches, better use .wav. My recommendation is that you go to Audition and transcode it before importing it into After Effects.
