While exploring Cinema 4d lite in After Effects, I noticed that a large number of presets, 3d objects, material, and light setups are missing from version S22. They are present in all of the tutuorials, including your own tutorials such as this one:

https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/how-to/sports-logo-maker-3d.html

and other tutorials such as this:

Why were these removed? The absense of the material presets are especially difficult to fathom.

I had the same problems, but I went to Help>check for updates. There's a dialog box that pops up and I checked "content library" and a few other items. Once the program restarted all the material presets were there.

I found the answer here: https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/111595-content-library-missing/
